Science Centre

Celebrate your child’s birthday with amazing hands-on science activities full of concocting, examining, and experimenting! Choose the theme of the birthday party, then relax; leave the entertaining and activities to our Party Staff. They will deliver a two-hour party for up to 20 children in your private party room. The fun is not over when the party is; you and your guests are invited to spend the rest of the day at the Ontario Science Centre!

Age Range:

4-12 years

Maximum Capacity:

Up to 11 children and 11 adults (a minimum of one adult must attend the party)
Optional: add up to 9 extra children at $25/child
Optional: add up to 3 extra adults at $25/adult

IMAGINATION PLAYGROUND
Experiment, play and create with Imagination Playground blocks to design and build the playscape of your dreams. Our party staff will challenge you and your friends to work together to create a masterpiece, whether it’s a garden, a moon base, or an amusement park. It’s all up to you!

Parties for 5-9 year olds

BIOLOGY
Get ready for a journey through the digestive system! Investigate animal scat to solve the Poo-Patrator Mystery and mix up some fake dung to take home. Do your family and friends have the stomach for this poo party?

CHEMISTRY
Experience chemistry and explore the physical and chemical changes of matter with cool chemistry demos. Mix your own concoctions of “slime” (a polymer) and “ooblick” (a non-Newtonian fluid).

MAGIC
Experiment with optics and chemistry as you unlock the secrets behind popular magic tricks. Defy the laws of gravity and make an orb levitate. Create a balancing stick to amaze your friends and family!

SPACE
Investigate Newton’s Third Law of Motion to determine how rockets launch into space and enjoy two interactive “launch” demos – a film canister rocket and a balloon rocket. Build and test a planetary lander with the goal of successfully landing it without damaging its cargo – an egg!

Parties for 10-12 year olds

ENGINEERING
Get geared up for fun! Use engineering principles, recycled materials and your imagination to find the solution to a real life problem with your friends in the “lab,” then build and test your very own personalized robot to take home.
